Julie Scolnik

Founder and artistic director of Andover Chamber Music and its ensemble-in-residence, Mistral. Recitalist, soloist, and guest artist at chamber music festivals in the United States and France. Collaborations with Brentano, Lydian, and Borromeo String Quartets. Annual recital at Salle Cortot in Paris; Over 25 featured guest appearances on WGBH radio. Active in organizing and performing orchestral and solo concerts that raise funds for cancer research and support, most recently with Sir Simon Rattle in Boston’s Jordan Hall. Regular performances in earlier years as principal flute with Emmanuel Music, Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Ballet, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra; married to physicist Michael Brower; children, Sophie and Sasha Scolnik-Brower, 23 and 18, also musicians.
